Counselling and Forensic Interventions for Infants, Young Children & Families
I am passionate about children and their development. A child's potential for growth is dependent upon the quality of the connections they have to meaningful adults in their life.

Working with children and their families is a privilege few get to experience. I have dedicated my career to improving the lives of children caught up in family conflict through education, intervention and resolution.

ABOUT JANE
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience and have devoted my career to assisting at-risk families. I have a Clinical Master of Social Work (MSW) in children's mental health and specialize in assessment and intervention with young children impacted by family violence, involved in family law matters, or caught up in contentious parenting disputes. My practice is primarily focused on conducting forensic interventions, both evaluative and therapeutic, and my training includes family mediation, play therapy, attachment-based parenting and developmental screening of young children. My dedication to the highest standard of practice means I regularly attend and contribute to research based training, workshops and conferences across North America. I have worked alongside family law professionals throughout my career, have extensive experience as a witness in family court and have been qualified as an expert in children's mental health and social work.

I provide a range of clinical and forensic interventions for infants, children, teens and families, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family. I work with children and their caregivers to educate, and offer strategies for helping children adjust to major life transitions, such as divorce and separation
I am an instructor with the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary where I teach graduate coursework on the topic of infant, early childhood and parental mental health and I have presented locally and internationally on the topic of Therapeutic Access. I am a member of the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW), the Social Workers Association of Alberta (SWAA), the Alberta Family Mediation Society (AFMS) and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) where I currently hold a position on the Alberta Chapter Board of Directors.
